Five Points Washington and Illinois Country Music Association, Inc., Schedule Summer Showcase

 

                                                                        

The Illinois Country Music Association, in conjunction with Five Points Washington, has scheduled a Summer Showcase to be presented Saturday, August 23, 2008 in the auditorium at Five Points Washington, Washington, Illinois.

 

The Summer Showcase will feature performances by the PrimeTime Country Opry Band from Stanford, Illinois, Stephanie Foster, East Peoria, Anjanel Folkens, Danvers, Travis Parks, Carrier Mills, Ray Fidler, Cuba, Janice Nevius, McLean, and Happy Heart Entertainment, East Peoria. Hosts will be Chris Hawkins, the event coordinator, and Betty Giacobazzi, East Peoria.

 

Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and the show begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $12.00 each, and are available online at www.fivepointswashington.org or at the Five Points box office after 2:00 p.m. the day of the show. Special rates are available for groups of ten or more.

 

Five Points is a brand new facility which includes many unique features, including the 1,000 plus seat auditorium used for this showcase. Everything about Five Points is first class. Come join us and enjoy a great evening of country music.

Illinois Country Music Association, Inc., Holds Annual “People’s Choice” Awards Show

 

The 19th Annual Illinois Country Music Association “People’s Choice” Awards Show was held recently at the Bellflower Community Building, Bellflower, Illinois. Most Award winners are chosen by ICMA members, with the exception of Fan of the Year, Kelly Holt Humanitarian Award and Pioneer Award, which are chosen by the state board, and the songwriter awards, which were judged this year by Wolf Valley Productions, owned and operated by Michael deBills, executive director of the North America Country Music Associations, International.
